Class Schedules

Please let us know if you are taking a class by pre-registering. This can be done by visiting the gallery or downloading the form and mailing it with a check to the instructor. Addresses are on the contact page as well as phone numbers if you have questions.

Adult Classes

Beginning Acrylic  
Instructor: Carol Kable   (419-468-2944 or 419-561-1597)
16 yrs. and older  Class limit 6 students  
    Afraid to start Painting? This class will show you how easy and fun painting can be! Students will be  introduced to the basics of using acrylics, how to choose a subject, brush handling and more – with the goal of completing a finished 8 x 10 painting. Materials will be supplied, or bring your own.
  Fee $ 20/session ($5 if supplies needed)  Wednesdays 6-8 p.m.– Sept 27; Oct 25

Intermediate Acrylic (No  Classes until January 2018  ) 
 Instructor: Carol Kable   (419-468-2944 or 419-561-1597)  
16 yrs. and older  Class limit 6 students  
Fee $ 20/session ($5 if supplies needed)   1:00 – 3:30    Wednesdays    

Sunday Painters Unite     2:00 – 5:00 p.m.     
 Come to the Gallery on most Sunday afternoons with your own supplies to draw, paint, or otherwise create art.  This is not a class but a chance to mingle with other artists and have fun. Bring a photo or objects for a still life 
$5 facility use fee,  16 yrs and older Call a Co-director  (Diane or Carol) to sign up

Watercolor Techniques

Ink Adventures

Explore the  exciting possibilities of  "alcohol" colored inks!
$10 per student;small materials fee if needed

Jewelry Making and Repair*

$20 a session for making bracelets &necklaces; $25 a session for making a charm bracelet

Knitting for Beginners
Instructor: Della Kaple (419-468-5913)
  Learn the basics of knitting! 
Limit 4 students; $10 per session ; $10 materials fee if needed.

Independent Studies
Calling all kitchen table painters/artists! No gallery space at home? Use  ours! $5 hr--when  available. An instructor  present  if help in any way needed. Call Carol or Diane to schedule your studio time!

Kids Art

Brush and Palette Kids
 Instructor: Emily Volz (419-989-8948)    Class limit :12 students  ages 6- 13  
    Kids will have their own "mini" paint party! Painting with acrylics on canvas(subject chosen by instructor) 
$15 per class/session. Materials are provided. Saturdays 2:30-4 PM, Sept 9th and October 7th

Arts and Crafts
Instructor: Linda W. Scott (419-989-7746)
  4 + students ages 8-14     
    This weekly class will give kids a chance to experience  different fun techniques and to try  unusual art media.   Classes are independent of each other, but please pre- register/call to allow the teacher to prepare for the class you sign up for.
 $12 per class   Tuesdays  3-5 p.m. Starting October 3


            
Reservations
Course descriptions sometimes specify suggested minimum levels of experience.
If you are unsure whether a certain course is suitable for you, please don’t hesitate to ask. If necessary, we can arrange for the instructor to contact you to answer your questions.

We encourage you to enroll as soon as possible. All classes have limited enrollment.
Please call the instructor and notify them that you will be taking the class. If you are 
registering the day of the class, please arrive early to fill out a registration form.

All registrations will be processed in the order in which they are received. Please note that your place in a class is secured with the receipt of your payment.

Minimum class size determined by individual Instructors. Students will be notified if class is cancelled due to low interest. So get your friends and family involved in art!


The decision to cancel a class which does not meet its required minimum enrollment is made as close as possible to a week before the class begins.

Students are only notified if a class is full via the registration site or canceled by email or a phone call from the Gallery or Instructor.


Refunds

Refunds will be given when:
1.A class is cancelled by the instructor or Brush and Palette Art Gallery (please note that a class may be cancelled when enrollment does not meet number required by instructor).

2. A doctor's certification (in case of illness) that the individual was unable to attend class and no more than 50% of the class has been attended.

Classroom Guidelines

Please-- we ask that you do not bring friends, dependents, or other non-paying people to class. 
Small children brought to class can be disruptive and can be a safety issue.

Please be prompt to all sessions.

Do not bring food to class (beverages should be in containers with lids).

Wear appropriate clothing. In most art classes there is a good chance you will get dirty!

Kids will get messy doing art. Please dress them in art appropriate clothing!
